Established in 1964, Michael's on Churchview stood as a cherished community restaurant and lounge in the Baldwin/Carrick area of Pittsburgh. With its cozy ambiance, banquet facilities, and a commitment to home-style cooking, it became a local favorite for over five decades.

Owners John and Joanne Dziadyk transformed a neighborhood staple into a dream fulfilled when they purchased Michael’s in 2006. Maintaining the restaurant’s 45-year tradition of generous portions, reasonable prices, and great service, they also introduced daily and weekly specials alongside handmade dressings, sauces, and desserts. The menu expanded to include Santa Fe chicken, Cajun surf & turf, peppercorn prime rib, and lobster ravioli with Langostino cream sauce—alongside Pittsburgh classics like pierogies and stuffed cabbage.
John and Joanne also expanded Michael’s into a top-tier event venue, with custom catering and dedicated service for weddings, funerals, rehearsals, and anniversaries. John Dziadyk praised his team, especially main cook Jason Ketter and waitress/pastry chef Zenobia Wertelet, noting, “We put our whole heart into this. This is our livelihood.”
